Voice Therapy

At RJVC, we're dedicated to helping you find your authentic voice. We offer one-on-one virtual sessions tailored to your specific goals. We respect each unique voice and provide holistic therapy to support your journey.

Voice therapy might be the solution if:
- You've noticed gradual or sudden changes in your voice like hoarseness, strain, or difficulty projecting, possibly without a clear cause.
- Your voice doesn't match your expectations for authentic and consistent communication, involving aspects such as pitch, resonance, and inflection/speech.

- You recently received information from your doctor and/or ENT that indicate voice concerns either with or without an apparent cause.

What Happens in a Voice Therapy Session?
During a session, your clinician will conduct a comprehensive assessment, considering medical history and any previous voice work. You’ll perform tasks such as stretching, breathing, and making sounds to evaluate your voice. We’ll teach you specific exercises and lifestyle adjustments to help you care for your voice, ensuring you feel confident practicing them on your own.

How Does Voice Therapy Work?
Our approach involves three key steps:
1. Increase Awareness: By understanding your voice better, you can feel more in control and mindful of changes.
2. Build New Habits: We pair this awareness with targeted exercises to create new, everyday voice habits.

3. Build Independence: By increasing your ability to use your new voice habits functionally, and independently you will learn how to be your own S-LP.
